The North Carolina Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (NC HIMSS) is a volunteer organization whose primary goals are to develop educational and regional networking programs and provide statewide leadership for the advancement and management of healthcare information and technology. With the backing of HIMSS which operates on a national and even international scale, we participate in shaping the healthcare industry, encouraging the use of technology and promoting public policies that will improve healthcare delivery.
NCHIMSS is offering sponsorships for our educational and networking events for the 2011-2012 fiscal year. Your sponsorship helps NC HIMSS offer valuable educational programming at a very affordable price for attendees. Sponsorship will benefit your business through exposure to our session attendees. NC HIMSS is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization.
The North Carolina Chapter is a diverse group of 1000+ healthcare IT professionals working across the state. Chapter Members work at hospitals, corporate health systems, consulting firms, vendor organizations, universities, and a wide variety of other organizations. Our members range from senior executives to analysts and students. We have both technical members as well as clinical members.
Sponsorship provides you with exposure to high-level decision makers throughout the state. The NC HIMSS CIO Roundtable at the Annual Conference draws CIOs from around the state to discuss current and relevant issues. Our membership includes:
• 40+ CIO / CMIO / CTO
• 50+ CEO / COO / CFO / CNO
• 60+ Vice Presidents
• 60+ Director / Dept Heads
• 650+ members
NC HIMSS uses the contributions of sponsors to help defray the cost of the chapter’s programs making them accessible to more people. The North Carolina Chapter has implemented a flexible sponsorship program allowing organizations to best align their marketing goals and resources. The various sponsorship levels provide an opportunity for organizations of all sizes to participate and raise awareness of their offerings within the local healthcare community.
As North Carolina HIMSS, our goals focus on supporting the mission, vision, and values of HIMSS. As a state-level organization we strive to carry out their mission at the local level and to serve as a conduit of information to and from the national organization.
Mission: To lead change in the healthcare information and management systems field through knowledge sharing, advocacy, collaboration, innovation and community affiliations. Vision: Advancing the best use of information and management systems for the betterment of human health. Values: We value an organized exchange of experiences among a diverse membership. We promote personal and professional growth. We are committed to the highest standards of professional conduct. We add value to our organizations and industry with improved performance, quality and innovation.
During a typical year, we offer networking and educational events, including our Advocacy Day at the General Assembly, our HIMSS national conference social and our always popular - NC Chapter Annual Spring Conference, Fall and Winter Dinners.
Our educational programs are designed to share expert knowledge and to facilitate networking among our members. In 2011-2012, we will communicate to our members through quarterly newsletters, webinars and emails and allow sponsors to provide educational seminars and/or sessions surrounding their vision for Healthcare information management and technology. Topics require board approval, and participation is reserved for Partner level sponsors and above only.
In 2011-2012, the NC Chapter will partner with NCHICA and Corporate sponsors to host networking and/or speaking events, where NC HIMSS will cover some or all of the cost of the event, as well as promote the event to our membership. The sponsor(s) will provide the logistics of scheduling the event and speakers for all events. Like the chapter webinar and email communications, event topics and locations are subject to board approval.
There are various forms of sponsorship for our events with increased benefits as the value of sponsorship increases. Please contact our Sponsorship Chair, Kristina Mears at (770) 330-6472 or krismea@cdw.com if you are interested in becoming a sponsor or have questions about the process. You may also simply fill out a sponsorship form on our web site at www.nchimss.org.
